Captain
Forrest Bartell
Captain Forrest Bartell began his career with the
Shasta County Sheriff’s Office in 1988 as a Reserve and worked as in
the Boating Safety Unit before becoming a full-time Deputy at the
Jail in 1990. He transferred to Patrol in Burney in 1992 and has
held collateral assignments as Range Instructor, Dare Instructor,
COPPS Officer, Coroner, K-9 Handler, and liaison with the Women’s
Refuge Domestic Violence Program. In 2000 Forrest was promoted to
Sergeant assigned to the Jail and later transferred back to Burney
as Patrol Sergeant. He is the K-9 Coordinator, Chief Range Master,
Training Cadre Coordinator, and served as the Patrol Lieutenant in
Burney from 2007 until 2010. He was promoted to Captain and
assigned to the Sheriff's Office in the City of Shasta Lake in
August of 2010.
